Texas-raised. Oklahoma-grown. Atlanta-based.
Jesus-captivated.

To all who are here:

Welcome. My name is Austin - I’m an indie-Christian songwriter and artist currently stationed in Atlanta, GA, far from my stomping grounds of Texas and Oklahoma. In recent years of my life, much has changed as the reality of adulthood has unfolded. Two things that have remained steady, however, have been Jesus and music - fortunately, those two things also happen to go really well together.

While in college at the University of Oklahoma, my world was rocked when I realized that the Lord had been claiming me for eternity. And not just in a distant way, but in a very close, intimate, drop-everything-and-follow-me kind of way. Soon after, I met a few musical friends who ended up changing my life permanently. In a bedroom studio off a country road in Norman, OK, we started a worship band and music ministry called
Still Morning (“Making Me New”, “Infinite”, “Storms”). From that point on, the Lord opened doors I didn’t even know were there, and the blend of faith and music forever had a hold in my life. After the end of Still Morning’s run, I desired to do some musical soul-searching and really find what MY sound and MY writing was. My first ever full-length album is the culmination of that - I can’t wait for you to hear it in Fall 2024.

More than anything, I desire my music to be raw and real. The Christian life is often filled with as much suffering as grace, as much sorrow as joy, as much struggle as faith. In my opinion, these are realities often passed over in a lot of Christian music. The reality, though, is this: God is good, following Him is hard - there’s actually a beautiful co-existence there if we aren’t afraid of our own poverty. It’s my hope that somehow, some way, my music might help you understand the incredible, yet messy, reality of who God is and what it looks like to pursue Him.

“The guest of our soul knows our misery; He comes to find an empty tent within us - that is all He asks”. (St. Therese of Lisieux)
